Cinderella Pantomime

The Cinderella Pantomime produced by the Rhondda Cynon Taff, Council’s Cultural Services department. This is a Work Based Learning Module which myself and other students took part in, this Module consisted of Making costumes for the pantomime, the costumes which were allicated to me were the 'Prince Charming', as the images show these were the 'Ball Room' costume made from a royal blue satin with silver trims, the second costume is the 'Working' costume, which is the red Waistcoat, the third costume is the 'Walk Down' this costume is made from gold materials and is worn at the end of the Pantomime. This module also included dressing the shows which were based at three Rhondda Cynon Taf venues – The Coliseum in Aberdare, the Muni in Pontyrpridd and the Park and Dare in Treorchy from 14th-27th December.
This project allowed me to develop a range skills and learn to work with professional people in an industry setting, working with actors and producing costumes to be worn on stage which would need to be affective and functional for comic reaction and quick changes. The experience gained form this project allowed my to build my confidence and learn how to work under pressure and respect those i worked along side. I learnt to motivate myself and the people around me to work together as a team. I feel that the experience gained form this module was invaluable to me becoming a costume maker and wardrobe assistant.
